SteelSeries launched new versions of the lightweight gaming mouse Aerox
SteelSeries launched new versions of the lightweight gaming mouse Aerox
New Aerox 5, Aerox 5 Wireless and Aerox 9 Wireless models of the mouse with the popular special honeycomb design are already available for purchase
Among other things, the wireless model Aerox 3, which is one of the absolute top gaming mice, has brought quite a bit of fame for the manufacturer of gaming devices SteelSeries. Many enjoyed the air moving through the large holes in the unique honeycomb structure of the mouse and the hugely long-lasting battery life. The company has now launched new versions of the Aerox series of lightweight mice.
In developing the Aerox 5, Aerox 5 Wireless and Aerox 9 Wireless mice, SteelSeries has learned from the well-received Aerox 3. The new models retain the honeycomb structure of the Aerox series, which extends to fingers and lets the hand breathe. Despite the large number of holes, the mice still have an IP54 water resistance rating. All the mice in the series have their own purpose for different types of gamers. The SteelSeries Aerox 5 is the only wired mouse in the new series. It is considered to be the lightest mouse currently available, weighing only 66 grams. The mouse also features nine programmable buttons, SteelSeries waterproof microswitches, TrueMove Air precision optical sensor and, of course, many RGB LEDs. The Aerox 5 is a state-of-the-art wired mouse that has a wide range of uses and is incredibly lightweight at the same time. The price of the Aerox 5 is €89.99.
The wireless version of Aerox 5 is slightly heavier at 74 g. The extra weight comes at the expense of a battery that lasts up to 180 hours. Fast charging support offers 40 hours of use after 15 minutes of charging and uses both USB wireless adapter and Bluetooth to connect to the device. These additional features increase the price to 149.99 euros.
At the top of the line of the series, however, is the Aerox 9 Wireless mouse designed specifically for MOBA or MMO gamers. It is the heaviest of the trio but still quite light (89 g) and comes with 12 programmable thumb buttons for all the important macros. The Aerox 9 uses the same waterproof microswitches and an optical sensor used in the Aerox 5 and the battery life is also the same for the models. The price of the ultra-light MMO mouse is 159.99 euros.
SteelSeries also slightly upgraded the previous model in the series, the Aerox 3, which is now available at a slightly lower price than the new versions.
