The PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset is now available for pre-order!
The long-awaited VR glasses developed for the PlayStation 5 console will go on sale on 23 February.
However, you can already place an order and be sure that you too will be among the first to enjoy a wonderful virtual reality experience. But it’s worth hurrying, because the first batch of PlayStation VR 2 is very limited!
PSVR 2 is the first new virtual reality device for PlayStation after a six-year hiatus. The new version is designed exclusively for use with the PlayStation 5 console and takes advantage of the high performance of the new console. As such, PSVR 2 is a huge leap forward in all the important features. The device features an OLED screen with a resolution of 4000x2040 pixels, i.e. 2000x2040 pixels per eye, a 110-degree field of view, and a variable refresh rate between 90–120 Hz. The last number is especially important, because it means that the image is always smooth and the possibility of dizziness is significantly reduced. Of course, the device also features HDR signal support to display a particularly detailed image.
Another important innovation is the monitoring of inside-out movement, i.e. the movement of the user and controllers is monitored using integrated cameras. In this way, it is no longer necessary to use a separate external camera to monitor movement. The use of internal cameras also significantly improves the accuracy and speed of movement. However, eye tracking helps to create a more natural and deeper virtual reality experience, as the image is focused exactly where the user is looking.
The PSVR 2 headset comes with the all-new Sense controllers, which are designed specifically for virtual reality gaming and are very comfortable and offer greater freedom of movement. The headset is connected to the console using a single cable with a USB-C connector, which makes connecting easier compared to the previous version and prevents the wires from getting tangled.
Pre-order PlayStation VR 2 today, so you can be sure you won’t miss out on a special experience!
