Accessibility Statement
Improvements we have made (in design, navigation, accessibility):
- The color contrast has been improved to make text and elements more readable.
- You can navigate all important menus and panels with the keyboard (including product selection trees, login forms, order forms, etc.). However, elements such as tooltips are not always accessible with the keyboard. We are aware of them and are still working on them.
- The "Skip to main content" button helps you quickly find the main content of the page.
- Many important buttons, images and form fields previously lacked descriptions - now we have added them.
- Screen readers now also read out the names of the buttons: added to the search and close buttons, payment method buttons, form fields, product comparison buttons and for packages and address search fields.
- Language selector communicates status to screen readers.
- Giving the language selector an accessible name.
- In the drop-down menu: there are long and short texts, long text is read out when using reader. Also triggered when browsing the drop-down menu options.
- The markings and labels of several forms and selection boxes have been improved so that they are also readable by screen readers.
- Selecting custom radio buttons and checkboxes now also works with the keyboard in the shopping cart.
- The quantity change buttons are labeled and work with the keyboard.
Examples of content and features that we are still working on:
- Targeted changes from the audit such as: Changing the accessible name of the search field and search button to match the site's user interface language.
- All images in the carousel are displayed to screen readers and are directed to the keyboard when navigating to them, even though only one is visible.
- The carousel navigation arrows are now keyboard-accessible accessible.
- Setting a title and region for carousels.
- Functionality to stop the carousel.
- Adding an accessibility name to the carousel controls.
- The top-level navigation item in the products menu is not a valid interactive element and adding missing accessibility markup.
- The main menu does not have an accessible name.
- The products and services tabs are not marked as assistive technology tabs.
